Need equipment or needing work on your own gear?
The 49° North Rental & Repair Shop is located on the lowest level of the lodge across the way from the Ticket Office. Featuring equipment from Rossignol, Head, Elan, & Burton, our friendly and knowledgeable staff are ready to get you geared up for the slopes. In addition to our standard rental equipment, we also offer High Performance Demo Skis from Rossignol. Our certified repair staff can take all of your tuning, waxing, and repair needs.
Note: If you are renting equipment you can bypass the lines at the ticket windows and purchase your lift ticket in the rental shop with one easy transaction. If you are interested in any of our lesson products, the Ski & Snowboard School can take care of your Lift Ticket, Rental, and Lesson needs with one transaction at their front desk.
Find the best package for your day on the mountain. 49 Degrees North offers complete equipment packages, snowboard/ski only rentals for those who have their own boots, or boot only rentals.
Before you arrive: Know the accurate age, height, weight and shoe size for each person renting equipment in advance to make the rental process easier. Skiers must also know their Skier Type. Snowboards must know which foot is forward. All minors under the age of 18 are required to have parental consent at the time of rental. If the parent or guardian will not be present, print, sign and have your child bring this Rental Release Form to the Rental Shop.
When you arrive: Come through the rental shop door and begin filling out a rental form located along the counter in the entryway. Bring your completed form to the rental desk to pay for your equipment. Photo ID is required. You will then be assisted by the next available rental technician who will fit your boots and/or tech your gear. Once your gear has been fitted, you are free to head outside and enjoy the snow!
-Ski and Snowboard boots fit and feel very different from each other and normal, every day shoes. Toes should lightly touch the front of the boot once they are laced and buckled while you are standing.Toes should not be jammed at the front of the boot or too far away. Boots should fit snuggly around the whole foot, ankle and lower leg, with fairly even pressure everywhere, like a firm handshake.
-We recommend ONE PAIR of lightweight or medium weight TALL socks and nothing else in your ski or snowboard boot. Wool, or a synthetic material like polypropylene are best (avoid wearing cotton). Multiple pairs of socks or extra material from pants, sweats or leggings inside your boot will cut off circulation to your feet or cause terrible discomfort and should be avoided.
-We recommend wearing waterproof and/or insulated pants, with pant legs that are wide enough at the cuff to go over the top of your boots.
-Don’t forget your goggles, gloves, and helmet/hat. We have helmets available to rent in the Rental Shop, and we sell hats, gloves, goggles and more in our Alpine Shop in the main lodge
